When long-time President and CEO Geoff Peters announced his plans to retire, our Board of Directors understood his shoes would be difficult to fill. After a year-long search and vetting period, Wikoff Color Corporation is excited to announce the unanimous decision to hire Mark C. Lewis as his successor.

Please join us, as we welcome Mark to the Wikoff family, who officially assumed his role on September 11th and will lead the company going forward.

Expertise in specialty chemicals and materials

Mark brings a wealth of related industry experience to our organization, with a proven track record in the specialty chemicals and specialty materials sectors. His forward-thinking drive for innovation makes him the ideal fit to lead Wikoff through our next phase of evolution and growth.

Mark earned his BS in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina and completed Executive Management Programs at both the Kellogg Graduate School of Business at Northwestern University and the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago.

He went on to work for twenty-plus years at Honeywell International, where his strong leadership skills culminated in roles such as Global Sales Director and Global Business Director. Subsequently, he became General Manager of the Fine Chemicals business at Vertellus, followed by Jacob-Holm hiring him as President of its Sontara® Specialty and Performance Materials business. Most recently, Mark served as President of Custom Laminating Corporation in Mount Bethel, PA.

A fantastic cultural fit

A spokesperson from our Board of Directors reflected on why Mark C. Lewis was selected following a long and rigorous search, that included outside help from an executive recruiting firm:

“Mark’s alignment with Wikoff’s unique employee-owned culture, combined with his expertise and track record of success, made him the ideal candidate to lead Wikoff forward. The Board also wants to extend its gratitude to all Wikoff’s employees for their unwavering dedication, and for continuing to serve all of our valued customers with excellence during this period of transition.”

Thank you, Geoff!

Wikoff’s employee owners and our Board of Directors wish former President and CEO Geoff Peters the best of luck with his retirement and are thankful for the incredible success he brought to the company over his 18-year tenure.

Under his leadership, Wikoff’s global footprint and sales saw substantial growth, even during challenging circumstances that included market consolidation, rapid technological change, supply chain disruptions and a global pandemic.

We are thrilled to know that Geoff will continue to be a guiding force for the company as he will remain a member of the Board of Directors as Wikoff Color Chairman.
